I went to Sagra last Friday for happy hour with friends, to celebrate landing a new job, and took a slew of pictures in hopes of finally posting a glowing review of this lovely little neighborhood trattoria. The next day the restaurant had a major fire (I heard the sirens from my house two blocks away, but never dreamed it was Sagra in flames!). Luckily, no one was injured, but the latest update includes notice that they will be closed for at least another two weeks.

Meanwhile, Sagra owners Gabriel and Sarwat Pellegrini will continue pay chef Sarah McDonald and sous chef Parker White while the they lend their time to two local nonprofits, and their neighbors at Dive Bar, a brand spanking new bar on Guadalupe, next door to the former location of the D. Berman Gallery (who confusingly moved to Wimberley) have kindly offered to host a Bartender Benefit this Saturday, April 16, from 4:00 to 8:00pm.

I wonder if they’ll be serving Limeata Royales.
